Little Bully

Aunt Tammy and Uncle Tank got Ben a "Lil Bully" shirt for his birthday -- with the print over a picture of a bull... (I will try to get picture to post this afternoon)
Today was Ben's first day back to 'school'... and I had a last minute appt to fix my braces.. so pete picked him up and the girls said he was a "bit of a bully today, he thought he could push his friends around"
** I guess I didn't nip it in the bud enough when he would push on Jacob ** YIKES - I HAVE A BULLY!!

A few stories to entertain

Friday - I took Ben to meet Pete for lunch. On the way I asked him if he wanted to go see Dad. His response .. "Daddy, boat, lake" He's learning young!!

Later we were talking through his book and he saw a boat and suddenly started talking about ropes. So at least he knows that the proper way to ride in a boat is if you have someone dragging on the ski rope behind... again SMART KID!...

Then last night - I refer to my contacts as my eyes (hard to see without them right) and in the mornings I encourage Ben to take him time in the bathroom - so he usually sits and observes as I go through the morning check list of proper hygiene. So back to Ben, he found my contact lens case, called it "eyes" then proceeded to poke his eyes and then dip his fingers in the case. A little amusing.

Recently, we've hired a kid in the neighborhood to mow our yard (Justin). Justin was a good friend of matt's when they lived here and stops by occasionally to check on us (and drink our sodas, and play our wii, and eat our food). Ben has taken a liking to Justin and on Thursday when the neighbor was mowing her yard and he heard the mower, he thought Justin was here and got all excited. It was too cute.

He's putting together 3-4 word sentences better. And he LOVES singing (definitely not a Carter).

The difference a month makes....

Last month (on June 4) I posted a pic of Ben in the field across the street... and it wasn't even up to his shoulders... Look at the difference a month makes.. (thanks nanamom for the clothes -- they fit great)

This morning making our shopping rounds I convinced Ben to see a lady about a hair to cut.
And now I remember why it's been so long since we last went...

Tonight at 9:30 (I know it was late) we took Ben to get ice cream -- call us crazy - whatever -- we don't care.. he went ALL day in the same undies -- and told us BEFORE hand that he had to Potty -- Never once even had a little ut-oh... Listen folks - I think we're on to something... It's been SOOOO nice not to have to change diapers all day....

Happy 4th of July

Happy Fourth yall...

We spent yesterday evening at the Shoemakers and had a nice time. Today we 'prepared' all morning and this evening we exploded!! Ben LOVES fireworks -- takes after his daddy. He even did the Tom Carter tantrum... but in the tune of "need more fountains" (instead of cake)-- it was too funny..

For supper - We made Ribs, Hashbrown casserole (loy's recipe), beans (randy's), salad, melons, stupid yummy Brickle cookies (from down south), and what Fourth of July would be complete without Apple pie...

Ben did not actually light any fireworks.. but he made sure we had the next ones to burn.

Before anyone says anything --- yes we know his hair is crazy long -- we are going this week to have it trimmed..

Space Shuttle Atlantis

Today - We happened outside and to our surprise we saw Atlantis riding home. It was landing at Offutt for the night so the planes were pretty low and a great view from the house.
It's always cool to see a space shuttle in our opinion.
