Black Friday

Today was full of fun!
We skipped being trampled, pushed, and shoved in parking lots and stores.. and decided to take an easier route for the days activities. The crew went to the zoo this morning and we had a great time AGAIN. We made it home in time for leftovers and naps. While the boys napped a few rounds of Wii Fit and MarioKart might have been played. This evening we went down to the Papillion's Winter Wonderland - Holiday Lighting. There were Christmas carols, carriage rides, the PAC band played, and a bonfire. Ben loved the hot cocoa - and Jacob was all about the popcorn. Afterwards, we came home - ate more leftovers and watched Wall-E

THANKSGIVING HAPPINESS

We are thankful for prayers before dinner -- because that means we are about to eat...

We are thankful for the shinsplints because that means we are able to walk 3 miles on Thanksgiving day....
(We're also thankful for tacky shirts -- they keep us warm)

We are thankful for the tears shed while sharing toys with cousins... because that means we're together..

We are thankful for long days, longer naps, and pretty white lights on a great evening...

Day at the Park

Today it was a nice sunny day and we spent a few hrs after lunch at the park - there was possibly a little static electricity around... maybe..

Jacob's here!

Jacob (and his parents) arrived yesterday - And boy are they having fun. Well until Jacob wants to play with Ben's toys, or color with the exact same color Ben wanted to color with, or sit in Ben's chair.
Yesterday they played on the piano/keyboard... Today we went to the zoo.

Florida

Just returned from a week long visit in Florida. We enjoyed seeing Umpah and NanaJan. It's a tough time for them right now - trying to get everything ready for another move - and we stayed busy trying to help them out as much as we could. It was great to have time to hang out with them, and play Wii! Umpah is a master at Wii Bowling! and Jan's not to shabby. We made arrangments for a quick and enjoyable trip to Venice. It was so nice to see Grandma and Grandpa again, and made even better the next day when Uncle Joe and Aunt Susie came down for lunch (and a quick trip to the beach).

Now - unpacking, LOTS of laundry and getting ready for Jacob and clan tomorrow - Yeah!

Color and Learn

This morning I printed off a few coloring pages.. and colored in the states where family live. Ben and I talked about where everyone lives.. and where we've been.. and bygolly I think he's getting the hang of it...
He's excited about flying to Florida next week to see Umpah and Nana-Jan.
