Happy Friday

Hi everyone -- Ben's newest trick he is teaching us is his "not listening" motion. We ask him where his ears are, and instead of pointing to his ears he plugs them with his fingers.. NICE.. just think what he's going to do when we teach him nose..

Snuggles with Zoe

I went to pick up Ben from Michele's this morning to find him taking a nap with Zoe.

Dad got home from work today.. and instead of throwing his shirt on the floor, the back of a chair, or on the stairs, he let me have it.. and don't I look ...well like a goblin.. a cute goblin.. but a goblin..

Stop and eat the flowers

Today we went outside and played in the yard. Ben likes to watch the big tractors working on the road next to the house. He also likes to play with the SnapDragons planted out front, and by play I mean eat.

A walk in the park

Down the road from our house the city updated Halleck park where a gaggle of Canadian Geese call home. Today we went down to walk around the newly reconstructed pond and enjoy one of the first nice days of FALL!! Mr Benjamin seemed to enjoy it for a while. We pushed our luck since he hadn't napped yet.. but it was still enjoyable...

The Stevens family came over today to visit, bring the stuff we purchased in Trista's fundraiser and sucker us into purchasing more stuff for Shayla's school fundraiser.. UUGHH School!... :D Ben enjoyed playing with the girls tho..

Ben's still struggling with the teeth that are breaking thru.. last night was rough.. he got up several times. When we put him to bed he was running a temp of 101.7 ~ poor kid.

Potty Time...

We bought Ben a potty so he would get used to it being around. He enjoys sitting IN it.. now if we can just figure out how to get him to potty in it.. without the feet :D

Bad Day

Ben had a really bad day today. He got in trouble at Michele's for pulling Layla's hair. We've noticed he had been pulling his own, but he hasn't pulled mine or pete's (hehe) yet. He was fussy b/f nap time, and super fussy after nap time. Noticed another tooth breaking thru on the bottom, so maybe that's part of it. Doesn't help that we haven't been able to go outside and play b/c of the weather ~ rain rain and more rain.

Center of attention

Today Michelle (Ben's sitter) took the kids to Barnes and Nobles for a childrens reading class. I showed up late to find my little boy in the middle of the stage looking out upon all the attendees. He wasn't called up to the front, he just decided it looked like a good place to sit I guess. The lady was reading to the group.. and Ben was just sitting there smiling.. being a good kid. Once he finally saw me he got up, walked over, gave me a squeeze, then walked right back to his perch in the front of the stage so all eyes could be on him. The start of things to come??

Panty Raid

Today Ben thought he would "help" me fold laundry.... His attempt of helping usually consists of unfolding everything I fold... except today, he decided to climb in the basket and play with the undies... The kid is all boy. There are more pics of his panty experience on his picture page.

Not much new...

Ben has started mimicking Mommy carrying a purse.. He has found an unused camera bag in the basement -- and thinks he's pretty darn cool when he throws it over his shoulder and struts around. Other than that, not much going on.. Mom's making a new vid.. and Ben ate lots of broccoli for dinner, so that's good...
